Background
The stories follow Jorg Ancrath's brotherhood before and during the events of The Broken Empire trilogy, telling the origins of Red Kent, Sir Makin, Rike, Burlow and Kashta, with Jorg himself as a child of six, a teenage wanderer and a young king, and one tale about Prince Jalan Kendeth. Two of the stories, Sleeping Beauty and Select Mode, had been published in June and December 2013. In a survey run by Lawrence, No Other Troy was voted the collection's most popular story.
