Loulan
The masked Pure Consort who lived a second life as the servant girl Shisui.
Loulan is a member of the Shi Clan and the daughter of Prime Minister Shishou, who succeeded Ah-Duo as Pure Consort of the Garnet Pavilion. Hidden behind heavy make-up and extravagant clothes, she secretly led a second life in the Rear Palace as the servant girl Shisui, Maomao's friend.

Background
Raised by her domineering mother Shenmei to be an obedient doll, she was in truth clever, compassionate and passionate about insects, and her half-sister Suirei taught her the basics of herbal medicine. As Shisui she caught Princess Lingli's kitten, collected moths and caterpillars and befriended Maomao and Xiaolan. When Suirei brought Maomao to the Shi stronghold, Loulan had her taken on as an apothecary to protect her, destroyed the clan's gunpowder factory and hid the clan's children, put into a death-like sleep, to spare them punishment. During the assault she scarred Jinshi's face and asked him to spare the clansmen her mother had exiled, then was shot after a final dance; her body was never found, and she reappears in a port city under the name Tamamo.
