1959 Australian TV version
A version aired on Australian broadcaster ABC in 1959. It was broadcast live in Melbourne on 15 July 1959, and a kinescope was made of that broadcast. The kinescope was later shown in Sydney on 22 July 1959. The production ran for 75 minutes. The cast included Bruce Beeby as Peter Charrington, Patricia Kennedy as Mary Charrington, Diana Bell, Moira Carleton, Frank Gatliff as the family lawyer, Ken Goodlet, Laurie Lange, Joy Mitchell, Beverley Phillips, and Nevil Thurgood. It is not known if the kinescope recording still exists. The Sydney Morning Herald noted Kennedy's dramatic strength in her part.
