Home School Hub
Irish educational TV created for primary school children during the pandemic.
Home School Hub was an educational television programme created by RTÉ in response to the closure of all schools during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland in 2020. Announced on 21 March, it began broadcasting on RTÉ2 on 30 March, targeting children in 1st–6th class of primary school. The first series ended on 19 June, and a new series, After School Hub, began on 11 October, finishing on 19 March 2021.

Format
The hour-long main show aired Monday-Friday at 11am and typically included three lessons, one from each of the main presenters: Múinteoirs Clíona, Ray and John, all qualified teachers. Lessons were given bilingually through English and Irish, as standard for primary school education in Ireland. Instead of commercial breaks, the programme featured inserts from RTÉ-produced or commissioned educational programmes such as The Body Brothers, I'm an Animal, Urban Tails and Brain Freeze. Comic book artist Will Sliney presented short drawing lessons in the "We Will Draw" segment. A 15-minute compilation of viewer-submitted material, Home School Extra narrated by Múinteoir Ray, aired after the main show and repeated at 4.15pm. An Irish Sign Language signed version of a previous main show broadcast at 1pm from April to July.
