Polish co-production of Sesame Street, aired from late 1996.
Ulica Sezamkowa was the Polish version of the children's show *Sesame Street*, debuting near the end of 1996. Before this co-production, the American series had already aired in Poland with Polish voice-over. The show's Muppets were created in the U.S. by Jim Henson Productions.
Several original characters appeared only in this Polish edition. Smok Bazyli is a friendly, furry dragon. Owieczka Beata is a lamb who believes she knows everything. Pędzipotwór, a unique monster with a big appetite, shares Cookie Monster's love for food but has his own distinct design and personality.
In 2006, the Polish children's channel MiniMini started airing a one-hour *Sesame* block called Sezamkowy Zakątek. The original co-production, *Ulica Sezamkowa*, is no longer being made.
