Characters
Skreet, played by Allan Trautman, is a rough-around-the-edges orangutan detective with a long career as a bad cop and a tendency to act recklessly. He partners with Yeager and frequently disguises himself as a woman or another animal. His puppet was previously used for Jackie the Orangutan and Lawrence the Orangutan on Jim Henson's Animal Show. Yeager, performed by Ted Michaels, is a monkey detective who is the newer, well-meaning member of the team, described as a "banana with a heart of gold." Though not the brightest, he has a talent for undercover work. His puppet is a recycled version of Spank the Monkey from Late Night Buffet with Augie and Del. Captain Marion Futz, played by Paul Rugg, is the hot-tempered police captain in charge of the S.U.D.S. unit. He frequently explodes when Skreet and Yeager mess up a case, whether by letting the villain escape, blowing their cover, or getting a suspect killed. At the end of each webisode, he hands them a file marked "Next Case." The episode "A Stalker is Born" reveals Futz is a fan of Josh Peck. Spider and Johnny, played by Esteban Powell and Craig DiFrancia, are two detectives who act as more capable rivals to Skreet and Yeager.
