The Five, also called Harlan Coben's The Five, is a British mystery thriller miniseries created by crime author Harlan Coben. It follows four childhood friends reunited when DNA evidence from a murder scene matches the brother who disappeared twenty years earlier. The series first broadcast on 15 April 2016 on Sky1 and consists of ten episodes.

Plot
In 1995, four friends—Mark, Danny, Slade, and Pru—were left shaken when Mark's little brother Jesse, age five, vanished from a playground. No sign of Jesse ever turned up. A serial killer named Jakob Marosi, already charged with five killings, said he was responsible for Jesse's death. Jesse's parents, Julie and Alan, lost all hope. Two decades later, Danny Kenwood works as a Detective Sergeant. While looking into the murder of a prostitute named Annie Green, hammer attack, forensic DNA testing reveals a match to Jesse. This discovery pulls the four old friends back together to try and find Jesse alive.
