Production

The first season of Botched ran for eight episodes, wrapping up on August 17, 2014. A two-part reunion special, hosted by Maria Menounos, aired on October 26 and 27 of that year, featuring conversations with Drs. Dubrow and Nassif alongside patients from the show. The series got the green light for a second season on August 5, 2014, which debuted on April 14, 2015. It shifted from its Tuesday 9 pm slot to Sunday 9 pm on June 7, with the mid-season finale airing on July 12. A third season was ordered on July 1. Three specials called Botched: Post Op followed the October 13, 20, and 27 episodes, co-hosted by Nassif, Dubrow, and Dubrow’s wife, actress Heather Dubrow. Season 3 premiered on May 10, 2016, with both Dubrow and Nassif returning, and ended on August 2, 2016. In October 2015, an eight-episode spin-off titled Botched by Nature was announced, premiering on August 9, 2016. On November 12, 2020, the series was picked up for a seventh season, which aired in 2021. Another renewal for an eighth season came on July 20, 2022, premiering in 2023. On June 10, 2025, a new spin-off, Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, was announced, hosted by Dubrow, Dr. Spirit, and Michelle Visage, set to begin airing on July 9, 2025. This series follows celebrities weighing whether to reverse their cosmetic procedures for a more natural look or keep their current appearances.
