Production
The show was cooked up by Brian Donovan and Ed Herro, who also run the show and produce it. Blumhouse Television, Comet Pictures, Megamix, and Sphere Media are the production companies behind it. A big group of executive producers includes Jonathan Levine, Gillian Bohrer, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Blum, Chris Dickie, Jeremy Gold, Chris McCumber, Michael Dowse, Lauren Grant, Josée Vallée, and Bruno Dubé. Russell Goldman works as an associate producer for Comet Pictures. Michael Dowse and Joyce Wong handled directing duties. The whole thing was shot in Quebec back in 2023, mostly around Montreal and Saint-Eustache. Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Guillaume Cyr lead the cast, with Gita Millier, Guy Nadon, Mickaël Gouin, Suzanne Clément, Mark O'Brien, and Meegwun Fairbrother also appearing. Jamie Lee Curtis pops in for a guest spot.

Nate Richard of Collider compared the series to Fargo, calling it a story about grief, murder, the mafia, and maple syrup.
