Season 1
Before the Labyrinth, the remaining team members surrender their walkie-talkie, exit the Hellevator, and receive a bag for any money found. The Labyrinth has three areas themed to the legend, each with hidden cash. A special item, described as the key to defeating the central villain, is also hidden and worth a bonus. The total cash and bonus amount to $20,000. To keep the money, the team must complete the Labyrinth and return to the Hellevator within five minutes; failure forfeits the money. If all three contestants succeeded in their challenges, an alternate Labyrinth was used once, featuring one final group challenge with no bonus item but money bags worth $1,000 each, for a total of $25,000. A perfect game—completing all three challenges and finding all money and the bonus item—yields $50,000 to $55,000.
Season 2
The Inferno Run replaced the Labyrinth in Season 2. Any contestant who completes their individual challenge participates. There are seven doors, each corresponding to one of the Seven Deadly Sins; one door is removed for each individual challenge completed, always the sins related to those challenges. Contestants have seven minutes total to complete the remaining challenges. Accomplishing each challenge rewards money or a key to free a teammate. If two or more contestants reach the Inferno Run, they attempt challenges individually, alternating turns, until they find the key. Once the key is found, they may choose to attempt additional challenges for extra money or free their teammates and return to the Hellevator. If they free teammates, no more challenges can be attempted. The entire team must return to the Hellevator before time runs out to keep Inferno Run winnings; failure forfeits that money but retains individual challenge winnings. Any episode ending in an Inferno Run failure concludes with all contestants trapped in separate rooms, presumably tortured to death. A total of $40,000 in cash is available, so a perfect game again yields $50,000. Example challenges include Envy (making both sides of a childhood bedroom match), Gluttony (searching birthday cakes with only the mouth for cash), Greed (searching safety deposit boxes for a combination), and Lust (retrieving a wedding ring from holes in a wall and placing it on a corpse bride's finger).
