Story
In an alternate Persian Gulf War era, continued fighting destroyed many Middle Eastern natural resources. By 1999, a resource-starved Middle Eastern nation attacked economically stronger neighbors to claim their resources. The aggressor developed a secret military satellite capable of devastating the world. Escaped nations formed an alliance, using Gyrodrive Reactive Intercept Device (GRID) technology to strike back in the second Persian Gulf War.
Game play
Players use a Grid, a dual-firing shield similar to R-Type's Force, to absorb enemy shots. Absorbing shots fills a meter that stocks bombs, which vary by weapon. The Grid's position can be changed by holding the fire button and moving up or down.
Items
P items power up the current weapon. H items summon ally support from large stealth jets or helicopters. G items change the Grid's color and weapon: Red grants Hyper Vulcan (fire bolts) and Nuclear bomb; Blue grants Cutter Laser (straight lasers) and Gigavolt Laser bomb; Green grants Multiple Sight (pursuing green mist clouds) and Twin Dragon bomb; Yellow grants Fire Blaster (fixed-range fire cloud) and Chain Reaction bomb (replicating energy sphere).
