Gameplay

Captain Zoom informs George that Zora, leader of the space pirates, plans to loot the Solar System. George must traverse nine stages using a Pneumo Osmatic Precipitator (P.O.P.) to hold items and breathe underwater. Boss fights involve machinery. A high score triggers a bonus stage where items are collected against a timer. Players travel through tubes between level parts, and one level includes a speed chase.

Reception

GamePro gave a negative review, stating that fans of The Jetsons might tolerate the game but intermediate gamers need not apply, calling it basic hop-n-bop. Electronic Gaming Monthly rated it 6.4/10, praising faithful cartoon animation and good graphics but criticizing the awkward suction cup attack.

Yōkai Buster: Ruka no Daibōken

In 1995, Kadokawa Shoten created mascot Yōkai Buster Ruka for Marukatsu Super Famicom and had Sting reprogram The Jetsons into a new game with new music by Mitsuhito Tanaka, new enemies, and new areas. Both versions share the same engine but differ in story and theme, and both have a strict time limit that costs lives. The player controls Ruka, an aggressive demon girl with a hidden past and the mentality of a 13-year-old. The Japanese version uses a contemporary setting with Japanese architecture and adds an extra underwater level, a mini-game, and a training mode.
