Polaris
The North Star.
Polaris, the North Star, is a yellow supergiant in Ursa Minor, less than one degree from the north celestial pole, which makes it the current northern pole star.
It is a triple system. Polaris Aa is the closest Cepheid variable, which makes it important for measuring cosmic distances.
