Lore & Background

In the book the far-right Sons of Albion kidnap the student Hassan Ahmed and threaten to behead him online, while Diana Taverner has secretly placed a former Slow Horse inside the group. Constable first published the novel and declined the sequel after weak sales; the book took off after Waterstones made it its thriller of the month in August 2017. Apple TV+ adapted it as the first series of Slow Horses in 2022.
