MI5
The service that owns Slough House.
MI5 is the intelligence service at the heart of Slow Horses and the Slough House novels. Its headquarters in the stories is at Regent's Park, while Slough House is the unit where it parks agents who have failed.
Lore & Background
The service is led by the Director General, called First Desk, with the head of operations known as Second Desk. Its internal security team is nicknamed the Dogs. Mick Herron has said the details he gives about the Security Service are invented and that he treats it like any other office full of politics.
