Background
Both teams finished 12–4; the Seahawks were the first seed and the Packers the second after a three-way tiebreaker with the Dallas Cowboys. Seattle's first points came in the third quarter on a touchdown pass by punter Jon Ryan after a fake field goal. After Morgan Burnett's late interception the Packers led 19–7 with about five minutes left, but the Seahawks mounted a comeback with a defensive stop, a quick touchdown, an onside kick recovery and another touchdown, and won in overtime.
