The Phantom of the Opera

In the Scooby-Doo franchise the Phantom who haunts an opera house is the villain of the 2013 direct-to-DVD film Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. The Mystery Inc. gang travels to Chicago for the talent show Talent Star and learns that the opera house hosting it is being terrorized by a Phantom who wants one of the finalists, Chrissy, to win. The Phantom seems able to appear in several places at once, and the gang finds out why: more than one person wears the costume. Those unmasked are the original Phantom Steve Trilby, who haunted the building thirty-five years earlier when it was a disco, Mel Richmond, who hoped to collect the insurance money on the opera house, Chrissy's father Lance, and the assistant director Dewey Ottoman.
