The Mummy

The Mummy is one of the monsters the Mystery Inc. gang faces in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!. While visiting a museum to consult a professor and his assistant Dr. Najib, the gang learns the legend of Ankha, a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy said to come back to life and turn anyone to stone if it is removed from its tomb. Shaggy later finds a coin from the exhibit in his pocket, and when the teens go back to return it the mummy has come to life, the professor has been turned to stone, and the creature is after Shaggy's coin. Other mummies turn up later in the franchise: Pharaoh Scamses the XV in What's New, Scooby-Doo?, who turns tourists into zombie minions, and an ancient mummy aboard a train in The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show.
