Save Room – Organization Puzzle is a puzzle game from Fractal Projects, which handled both development and publishing. It first came to Windows on April 28, 2022, and later launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on November 11, 2022, under the shorter title Save Room, with Ratalaika Games publishing those versions. The game mimics the inventory management of survival horror titles like Resident Evil 4, tasking players with arranging specific items inside a briefcase. To free up space, players can combine items, use healing items to restore health, or reload their guns. Critics appreciated its low cost and careful design, but noted its simplicity and brief playtime as drawbacks.
In the gameplay, players start with basic tasks like rotating and snapping items into the briefcase. Later, new mechanics appear, such as eating rotten food to lower health so healing items can be used, or loading ammunition into guns, where some ammo works with multiple guns of the same type.
Reception for the Switch version was mixed. Roland Ingram of Nintendo Life gave it 5/10 stars, finding it "hard to recommend" due to its higher price compared to Steam, and noted it took "an hour and a bit" to finish. He called the credits humorous for being just a list of graphical asset sources, and described the game as "extremely easy" with few fresh ideas. Cass Marshall of Polygon called it "a love letter to Resident Evil 4's attache case," praising its fun puzzles and recommending it to fans of efficient loadouts. Isaiah Colbert of Kotaku highlighted engaging details like music reminiscent of Resident Evil save rooms and "chunky" sound effects, saying it didn't just rely on its concept. Christopher Livingston of PC Gamer called the game "pretty great" and praised its "excellent" background music.
A sequel, Save Room – The Merchant, was announced in 2023 for Windows. It adds an in-game shop run by a gender-swapped version of the Merchant from Resident Evil 4, allowing players to buy and sell items in more challenging puzzles.
