Jack Krauser is a former training comrade of Leon S. Kennedy who was believed to have been killed in a helicopter crash two years prior. He resurfaces as a mercenary working for Los Iluminados, responsible for the kidnapping of Ashley Graham. Krauser is infected with Las Plagas and works with Albert Wesker to secure a Plagas sample, though he is suspicious of Ada Wong. Osmund Saddler, suspicious of Krauser's intentions, orders him to kill Leon, believing that no matter which one dies, he will benefit.

In combat, Krauser wields dual serrated blades and a heavy machine gun. His infection grants him enhanced physical capabilities, making him a formidable opponent. He appears at critical moments during Leon's mission, ambushing him in the European countryside.
