Olesya Ilyukhina is the materials specialist of the Hail Mary's primary crew in Project Hail Mary, sent to Tau Ceti to find a way to stop Astrophage consuming the Sun. She died en route in the medically induced coma, and her body was released into space.

Background
Infectiously funny and sardonic, she could have anyone laughing within thirty seconds of meeting her, as Grace remarks, and she accepted her own coming death with humour; she smuggled three IV bags of vodka aboard. In the film she is 39, five foot three with short wavy brown hair, jokes that she wants to end things with 'a lethal injection with a little bit of heroin', and is played by Milana Vayntrub.
