Kira Ford

Lore & Background

Kira Ford is introduced as a singer and one of three detention students assigned to paleontology professor Tommy Oliver in Reefside, California. Along with Conner McKnight and Ethan James, she discovers a Dino Gem that bonds with her, granting her the powers of the Pterazord and the ability to produce sonic screams. As the Yellow Dino Ranger, Kira uses her sonic scream ability both in combat and to solve problems, often finding creative applications for her power.

Throughout the series, she works alongside Tommy (the Black Dino Ranger), Conner (the Red Dino Ranger), Ethan (the Blue Dino Ranger), and later Trent (the White Dino Ranger) to oppose Mesogog, an evil dinosauric who wishes to eradicate all human life. Near the end of the series, Trent is corrupted by the White Dino Gem, and the Rangers voluntarily combine their powers to destroy Mesogog in a single last-resort attack, which burns out the Dino Gems in the process.
