João Félix

João Félix Sequeira (born 10 November 1999) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team. He started out in Porto’s youth system before switching to rivals Benfica in 2015. Félix made his senior debut for Benfica in 2018 at age 17 and helped the club win the league title in his only season with them. In 2019, aged 19, he joined Atlético Madrid for a club-record €126 million (£113 million), then the fourth-most expensive transfer in football. With Atlético, he won the 2020–21 La Liga title. Over the following years, he had loan spells at Chelsea and Barcelona, then rejoined Chelsea permanently in 2024. After a brief loan at AC Milan, Félix moved to Al-Nassr in 2025, where he won the Saudi Pro League title in his first season and was named the league’s Player of the Season.

Félix represented Portugal at youth levels from under-18 to under-21. He earned his first senior cap during the 2019 UEFA Nations League Finals, winning the inaugural edition on home soil. He later played at two UEFA European Championships (2020 and 2024) and two FIFA World Cups (2022 and 2026), and added a second international trophy at the 2025 UEFA Nations League Finals.
