Gameplay

In Dream Club Zero, the player works toward a happy ending with a chosen hostess by visiting her repeatedly at the club and building a romantic bond. Money is needed for each visit, and it comes from part-time jobs. The player picks one of two to four work options, and the game immediately shows the result and adds the earnings. Funds go toward the club entrance fee, drinks for the player and the hostess, and gifts for her. Most gameplay happens one-on-one with the hostess, where the player tries to raise her affection by giving good answers to her questions, offering gifts she likes, and doing well in mini-games. One such mini-game is karaoke, where the player presses buttons in time with the music as the hostess performs. The outcome after multiple visits decides whether the player gets a happy ending, or ends up alone—unable to return because the membership expired or a specific event turned the relationship into friendship only.
