Format

The Philippine version of Minute to Win It keeps the core rules of the original American show. A contestant receives a blueprint for each level and must finish the task within 60 seconds. The money is guaranteed at certain checkpoints: after clearing the first, fifth, and eighth levels, the contestant cannot leave with less than the cash prize for those stages. As the player moves up, the blueprints become harder. If the contestant runs out of time, fails to meet the game’s conditions, uses up all allowed attempts, or commits a foul, they lose one of three lives. Losing all three lives ends the game, and the winnings drop to the last guaranteed safe level. After any successful level, the contestant may stop and take the money they have already earned before seeing the next blueprint. But if they choose to continue, they must either complete the next level or lose all their lives trying. This same format was used in special episodes like Teen Challenge and Ateneo vs La Salle. On February 13, 2017, the show moved to a new timeslot at 5:00 PM as part of the Kapamilya Gold afternoon block, a slot previously held by Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7: Mga Kwentong Dream Team ni Kuya, which shifted to allow Wildflower to air earlier in primetime.

The Junior episodes introduced a format never before seen in the Minute to Win It franchise. Two teams of two members work together to complete five levels within 60 seconds, earning points for each. The team that finishes first also receives a special prize. At the end, the team with the most points wins 75,000 pesos and a chance to play the ultimate challenge for a top prize of 500,000 pesos.

Another variation, similar to the Junior format but with slight changes, pits two teams with pre-existing relationships against each other head-to-head. Each challenge awards one point, and the first team to reach four points automatically wins 75,000 pesos and the opportunity to play for a grand prize of 1,000,000 pesos. If they fail the jackpot challenge, they get three attempts to try again and win the grand prize.

In Season 2, the Head-to-Head Challenge was reformatted. The two last remaining players compete in a best-of-three series. The player who wins two points advances to the 60-second circle.
