Format
Each cycle of Philippines' Next Top Model consists of 13 episodes and begins with 12 to 14 contestants. Contestants are judged weekly on overall appearance, challenge performance, and the best photograph from that week's photoshoot. One contestant is eliminated per episode, though double eliminations or non-eliminations occasionally occur by panel consensus. Makeovers are given early in the season, and an international trip takes place about two-thirds of the way through. The first cycle used "Ruffa-text" instead of the usual mail; the second cycle brought back "Maggie Mail."
Judges
The series employs a panel of four to six judges. For cycle 2, the panel was completely replaced: Maggie Wilson became the main judge and presenter, joined by Rainer Dagala, Raphael Kiefer, and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa as model mentor. Wilma Doesnt, who served as model mentor in cycle 1, returned as runway mentor and guest judge for cycle 2.
Cycles
The first cycle aired from March 13, 2007, to June 12, 2007, on RPN, with an international destination of Victoria, Hong Kong. The winner was Grendel Alvarado from Arayat, Pampanga. In late 2012, ETC announced a second adaptation called Top Model Philippines, with host Sarah Meier, photographer Sean Armenta, and model mentor Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, but production was suspended in June 2013. In mid-2016, TV5 announced open casting calls for Philippines' Next Top Model: High Street, held in Baguio, Mandaluyong, Cebu, and Davao. The cycle aired from March 21, 2017, hosted by Maggie Wilson, with judges Rainer Dagala, Raphael Kiefer, and Kylie Verzosa. The winner was Angela Lehmann from Bicol.
