Forest Spirit

The Forest Spirit is the sentient consciousness of the Spirit Tree in Nibel. It is described as the "light and eyes" of the Forest's Spirit Tree, and its voice narrates the story of Ori, a guardian spirit who fell from the tree during a storm. The Spirit Tree communicates through narration, and its core—Sein—is a small orb that guides Ori on a journey to restore the forest. The Spirit Tree released a flash of light to look for Ori, which inadvertently burned and killed Kuro's offspring, leading to Kuro stealing Sein, the tree's core. Without its core, the Spirit Tree could not sustain the three elements (Waters, Winds, Warmth), and Nibel lost its balance. At the story's end, Kuro returns Sein to the Spirit Tree, which emits a flash of bright light that dissipates fire and restores the forest.
