Natalia Valeeva began her Olympic career in 1992 representing the Unified Team, where she won the individual bronze medal alongside South Korean archers Cho Youn-Jeong (gold) and Kim Soo-Nyung (silver). She also earned a team bronze medal with Lyudmila Arzhannikova and Khatouna Kvrivichvili, with South Korea winning gold and China silver. In 1996, she represented Moldova but was defeated in the third round. She later switched to Italy, competing for that nation from 2000 onward, placing seventh in both individual and team events that year. At the 2004 Olympics, she placed 9th in the ranking round with a 72-arrow score of 650 but was upset in the first elimination round by Jasmin Figueroa of the Philippines, losing 132–130 in windy conditions and finishing 53rd overall. At the 2008 Games, she ranked 30th with 634 points, defeated Anastassiya Bannova in the first round, then lost to third seed Joo Hyun-Jung 110–108. In the team event, Italy beat Chinese Taipei but lost to South Korea, who set a world record of 231 points. At the 2012 Olympics, she reached the last 32 before losing to Ksenia Perova, and the Italian team was eliminated by China in the first round.
