Berkim Tümer started archery at age nine in Gelibolu and became Turkish junior champion. He debuted for the national team in 2017 and joined the A team in 2020. At the 2023 World Archery Championships in Berlin, he won a silver medal in the men's team recurve event. That same year, his team won the European Grand Prix in Umag, Croatia, defeating Switzerland 5–3 in the final. Selected for the 2024 Summer Olympics, he earned a bronze medal on 29 July 2024 in the men's team event alongside Mete Gazoz and Muhammet Abdullah Yıldırmış, coached by Yusuf Göktuğ Ergin. In the singles competition, he lost in the round of 16 to American Brady Ellison. At the 2024 European Archery Championships in Essen, he was part of the bronze medal-winning men's team that came back from 4–0 down to beat the Netherlands 5–4. In 2025, he placed third at the Turkish Indoor Federation Cup and won the team competition there. At the 2025 European Indoor Archery Championships, the men's recurve team of Gazoz, Tümer, and Yıldırmış won a silver medal, losing 5–4 to Italy. At the 2025 Summer World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, he won bronze in the men's individual recurve event by defeating China's Hao Feng 6–4, and also claimed bronze in the men's team event with Berkay Akkoyun and Abdullah Yıldırmış by beating Chinese Taipei 6–0.
