In the second game, the USVI led Guatemala 5–2 before Guatemala rallied to tie in the bottom of the ninth and won 7–6 in the eleventh inning. The team then suffered its worst defeat, an 11–0 loss to Venezuela. In the final game, Puerto Rico defeated the USVI 6–0. The team did not win any of its four games in the tournament.
