Gigantic (video game)
Summon your guardian, claim the map, and crush the enemy core.
Gigantic is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Motiga and published by Perfect World Entertainment. Originally released for Windows and Xbox One in July 2017, it was shut down in 2018 before being revived as Gigantic: Rampage Edition by Gearbox Publishing in April 2024. The game distinguishes itself from traditional MOBAs by emphasizing third-person action combat, dynamic map objectives, and a unique guardian-based victory condition where teams must summon and empower a massive creature to destroy the enemy's core.

Lore & Background
In the world of Gigantic, the floating continent of Siren's Call is a battleground for ancient, colossal beings known as Guardians. These Guardians are the last remnants of a cosmic war, and they now rely on mortal champions—called Heroes—to gather power from the land and defeat rival Guardians. Each Guardian is a unique entity with its own personality and abilities, such as the noble Leiran or the cunning Draconis, and they serve as both the team's base and ultimate weapon.
Reader's Guide
Gigantic's significance lies in its hybrid gameplay, blending MOBA mechanics with third-person shooting and melee combat. Players control heroes in five roles—Damage Dealers, Frontliners, Tanks, Support, Assassin—each with five skills including a Focus ability. Matches involve two teams of five, each assisted by a Guardian. Teams collect power from summoning circles or kills to reach 100 power, triggering a Rampage state where the attacking Guardian exposes the enemy Guardian's weak point. The defending team's power becomes a shield. The first team to wound the enemy Guardian three times wins. Creatures summoned on circles collect power and can be upgraded. Skill points allow upgrades to abilities, with Rampage Edition adding automatic 'Build' application. The 'Final Clash' shrinks the arena as a match concludes. Rampage Edition introduced 'Rush' mode, a faster variant with one health bar, smaller arenas, auto-leveling, and auto-spawning creatures. The game received generally positive reviews on Metacritic.
