Sparta: War of Empires is a free-to-play MMO strategy game with paid upgrades, developed and published by Plarium and released for web browser in 2014. Set in 5th Century BCE Greece during the war between Sparta and the Persian Empire, players act as Archons building a city-state and protecting it with King Leonidas and the Spartan army. The game features a soundtrack by BAFTA-winning composer Jesper Kyd.
