Lore & Background
Lincoln Clay is the adoptive brother of Ellis Robinson and the surrogate son of Black Mob leader Sammy Robinson. After the Marcano family betrays and murders his family, Lincoln embarks on a quest for revenge. He is rescued by Father James Ballard and later contacts his former CIA associate John Donovan, who helps him locate three crime bosses also seeking revenge against Sal Marcano: Cassandra (the true Haitian leader), Thomas Burke (Irish Mob boss), and Vito Scaletta (exiled Sicilian mafioso). Lincoln kills Baka, who is a lieutenant of the Haitians, not their leader. The game's multiple endings depend on the player's choice, determining whether Lincoln's empire flourishes or collapses, and whether he abandons crime, succumbs to it, or is assassinated.
