The film follows Lily Schechner, who moves into town with her therapist mother, Helen, to live with Helen's new boyfriend Adam Harrison and his three sons. At school, Lily is mocked by classmates and telekinetically pushes a bully into lockers. Three girls, Frankie, Tabby, and Lourdes, reveal themselves as fellow witches and invite her to join their coven. The coven performs rituals, including freezing time, and casts spells. Lily places a love spell on Timmy, who later allegedly commits suicide. Adam reveals himself as a member of a pagan cult who murdered Timmy and plans to kill Lily. The coven works together and uses their elemental powers to defeat Adam, burning him to death. Lily later meets her birth mother, revealed to be Nancy Downs.
