In Their Own Story

The neon lights flicker as the beat drops, signaling the start of another round in the Just Dance Arcade. A group of dancers, represented by colorful avatars, line up on the virtual stage, ready to tackle the latest chart-topping hit. As the camera pans across the crowd, the energy is palpable; every wave of a controller or motion sensor translates into a perfect move on screen. The challenge is not just to keep time but to outshine the competition in this global dance-off where rhythm reigns supreme.

Reader's Guide

New features include dance battle routines (up to two teams of two), expansions to Just Sweat mode, unlockable alternate routines, and a 'Puppet Master' mode exclusive to the Wii U version. The Wii U GamePad can be used to manipulate routines, create mashups, use a 'Strike A Pose' mechanic, draw during gameplay, display lyrics, and choose the next song. Previous modes (Simon Says Mode, Playlists, Medley, Speed-Shuffle, and Just Create for Xbox 360) were dropped. The 'On Fire' motive and effort ratings were removed; only difficulty ratings and the 'Gold Move' motive remain. Players have 'Dance Quests' (six per song) that award Mojo points. Downloadable songs do not have dance quests. Players can create 'Dancer Cards' and personal leaderboards are available for the Wii version.
