Gold Experience

A Stand that grants life-themed abilities including healing and organic transformation.

Gold Experience is the Stand of Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Giorno is the 15-year-old illegitimate son of Dio Brando, conceived while Dio possessed the body of Jonathan Joestar, granting Giorno the morality of the Joestar bloodline. Gold Experience grants Giorno a variety of life-themed abilities including healing and organic transformation. The Stand serves as his primary tool in his plan to take over the criminal organization Passione and end the sale of drugs to children, a goal he pursues after allying with Bruno Bucciarati.

User: Giorno Giovanna

Lore & Background

Gold Experience's abilities are first demonstrated when Giorno uses them against a local mafia member who inadvertently kills himself through the Stand's powers. Later, after Giorno joins Bucciarati's team, the Stand's healing capability is put to a critical test: when Bucciarati becomes mortally wounded while rescuing Trish Una from Passione's boss, Giorno seemingly manages to revive him using Gold Experience. However, in the final battle, Giorno reveals the truth — Bucciarati actually died in that first battle with Diavolo, but possessed his own body through Gold Experience's healing. The Stand's ultimate evolution occurs when Giorno is stabbed with a special Arrow in Rome, evolving Gold Experience into Gold Experience Requiem, which easily overpowers King Crimson and condemns Diavolo to an infinite death loop.

Reader's Guide

The Stand can transform inorganic matter into living organisms, as shown when a bullet is turned into flowers. Its healing capability allows Giorno to transfer life force into injured individuals, though this requires precise control — as demonstrated when Bucciarati was seemingly revived but actually only possessed his own body through the healing. The Stand's ultimate form, Gold Experience Requiem, is achieved when Giorno is stabbed with a special Arrow, granting the power to easily overpower King Crimson and trap Diavolo in an infinite death loop. Giorno Giovanna is the sole user of this Stand, wielding it in his quest to take over Passione and reform the organization.
