A 30th-century hero protects the 20th century.
Last updated
Super Jetter is a black-and-white anime TV series from Japan, created by Fumio Hisamatsu, who also designed the characters. The hero, Super Jetter, is a being from the 30th century who travels back to the 20th century in a time machine after battling the villain Jaguar.
There, he meets a girl named Kaoru, whose father, Saigou Mizushima, is the Secretary of the International Science Bureau of Investigation. Mizushima asks Jetter to use his futuristic abilities—including super strength, intelligence, a 30-second time-stop power, an anti-gravity belt, infrared goggles, bulletproof skin, and a paralyzing gun—to maintain peace. When aired abroad, some episodes were recolored, and those color versions later aired in Japan as well.
