Blue SWAT
Three survivors fight alien invaders as a private detective agency.
Blue SWAT is a Japanese television series and the thirteenth installment in the Metal Hero Series franchise. It ran for 51 episodes and one theatrical film, airing as part of the 1994 Toei Super Hero Fair. The series deviated from the Metal Hero trend by adopting a realistic tone focused on martial arts and gunplay, though it later shifted to a lighter style after poor reception among children.

Plot
When Earth is weakened by crime, pollution, and war, aliens from the Space Mafia invade by possessing humans. The Japanese government creates an elite police unit called Blue SWAT to combat them. An alien possessing the unit's chief destroys their headquarters and kills all but three members: Sho, Sara, and Sig. The survivors form a private detective agency named Blue Research to continue their mission.
Characters
Sho Narumi is a hot-shot mercenary in metallic blue armor with blue patches, officer number 153, who aspires to be an Olympic triathlete and often acts on his own. He later receives the DrumGunner from Gold-Platinum and upgrades to Hyper Sho. Sara Misugi, in metallic purple armor with red patches and officer number 077, is the no-nonsense second-in-command. A former L.A.P.D. officer who lost her partner, she is levelheaded and highly skilled in combat. Sig, the leader in gunmetal-grey armor with yellow patches and ID 011, is a calm telepath. After being wounded and revealing green blood, he discloses he is an alien from a planet devastated by the Space Mafia, possessing the cadaver of Gou Hirose, a brain-dead organ donor. He is 800 Earth years old. Gou's son Zaji, comatose from the same accident, is possessed by Space Mafia member Jisp. Seiji Usami, a computer nerd saved by the team, becomes their analyst. Sumire Asou, a loudmouth, joins as secretary unaware of their Blue SWAT identity. Gold-Platinum, a friendly alien, gives Sho the DrumGunner and joins the team. The Space Mafia are an intergalactic crime syndicate that possess humans. Jisp, also known as Monsieur J, is a major villain who first possesses Zaji.

The CV-01 Striker is an Autozam AZ-1 armored patrol car driven by Sho, later repaired and renamed Blue Striker. CV-02 Interceptor are high-speed pursuit motorcycles for Sig and Sara. The head from Riga's costume was combined with a partially-repainted body of Muscle from Juukou B-Fighter to form Maguirk's alien form in Space Case, while the partially-repainted head of Muscle combined with Synthetic Beast Heavyznake's second form to form Guirk's alien form.
