Plot
The series follows a multinational team of soldiers and mountaineering experts as they oppose General Lucas Plague and his band of mercenaries and criminals, the Raiders, who seek global domination. The action takes place on a new continent in the South Pacific, formed when a dangerous, unstable radioactive element called Theta Seven (θ-7) rose to the surface. This lethal substance can only be safely contained at temperatures of -200 degrees Fahrenheit (-128.89 degrees Celsius). Whoever masters Theta Seven and its immense energy would control the world, a prize the unscrupulous General Plague desperately wants. General Mike Summit and his elite troops are tasked with stopping him. The continent, known as the High Frontier, is plagued by unpredictable weather and natural dangers like landslides, earthquakes, cave-ins, and whirlpools. The Sky Commanders also require monthly deliveries of supplies, advanced technology, and weapons. Constant attacks from the cunning Raiders and the harsh environment make their mission even more perilous. Travel across the continent is only possible through high-altitude flight or via Laser Cables, which are specialized rappelling cords fired from combat backpacks. These cables shoot out as energy beams and solidify into metal lines upon hitting a solid object, allowing movement.
