Story
Set in the Sarbylion galaxy, the organization D.I.C.E. (DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises) aids those in need. Its unit F-99 is composed entirely of children, who often face trivialization due to their age. They use RADOC to summon Gild suits (Gild jackets) to gain respect. When problems arise, the team deploys Dinobreakers that transform from Vehicle Mode to Dino Mode. The series has been compared to Thunderbirds, and the GTR catchphrase means "Good to Roll" (some prefer "got the request"). In the Japanese version, D.I.C.E. stands for "Dinobreakers Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises."
Characters
The F-99 unit is run by orphans who grew up during a time of war, their families victims of it. Jet Siegel, age 12, is a hot-headed pilot who rushes into danger with little forethought; he has a strong moral sense and a fierce competitive streak that causes friction with teammates. His Dinobreaker is Motoraptor, and his color is red. Tak Carter, age 15, is the captain of F-99 and is seen as an older brother figure. He remains calm and decisive under pressure; in episode 8 it was hinted that he and Marsha are dating. His Dinobreaker is Dimetrover, and his color is yellow. Robert Clapice, age 12, is a pretty-boy pilot concerned with his looks. He pilots the flight-capable HoverPtera and often scouts situations. He competes with Jet but they make good partners; he is close friends with Sam and Marco. His color is purple. Marco Rocca, age 12, was Jet's buddy in the orphanage and a close friend of Robert. He complains frequently, especially about his cramped cockpit, and handles heavy-duty tasks like demolitions with his Dinobreaker Monocrawler. He remains calm and reliable in tough situations. His color is blue. Puffy Angel, age 12, is the data analysis expert on F-99. She sees Marsha as an older sister and is a shop-a-holic. She is temperamental and hates Jet, but in the last episode of Season 2 she cared for him daily in the hospital after the final battle, hinting at deeper feelings. She can guild up but has no Dinobreaker except in the video game, where she owns Hovertap. Her color is pink. Sam N'Dool, age 11, is the youngest and the brains of the team, a mechanical expert and close friend of Robert. He drives the Dinobreaker Paratricar and prays for the safety of his crew-mates. His color is green. Chao Lee is also a member.
