Story
Kuromi and Baku escape from a dungeon in Mariland with the Melody Key and the Melody Bow, but forget the instruction manuals. In the human world, Kuromi discovers the Melody Key can make wishes come true using dark power; if the wisher enjoys the nightmare, Black Notes are produced, which Baku eats and stores. Unbeknownst to them, gathering 100 Black Notes will revive the Spirit of Dark Power to destroy the human world and devour all dreams. The king of Mariland, sensing the danger, gives the Melody Takt to My Melody and sends her to the human world to collect 100 Pink Notes to create Dream Power. My Melody meets a human girl named Yumeno Uta. Later, Kuromi and Baku obtain a new Melody Key and the Melody Pick, an item tied to the Spirit of Dark Power. The king again appoints My Melody to capture the fugitives and prevent the Spirit's resurrection. In the human world, Uta misses My Melody, but a new student, Jun Hiiragi, arrives from England, and Uta notices he is Keiichi's brother. Kuromi and Baku learn that collecting eight black notes matching the Solfège scale will grant their wishes, and they wreak havoc. Keiichi Hiiragi, judged guilty of crimes against Mariland, must help Uta and My Melody fight the darkness while being secretly punished. Uta and My Melody must stop the Spirit of Dark Power's revival.
