Across the Atlantic, MSD Video and Abbey Home Entertainment released numerous tapes during the 1980s and 1990s. One of these was Sylvanian Families: The Movie, which stitched together several segments to create a feature-length title. Come February 2004, Sterling Entertainment Group issued two VHS tapes and DVDs called The Big Adventure and Hoppily Ever After. Each contained three episodes (six segments), with the DVD editions including an extra segment. The first segment of episode three, "The Bear Facts," had already appeared a year earlier on a Care Bears: To The Rescue DVD from the same company. NCircle Entertainment reissued The Big Adventure in 2008. In the UK, Maximum Entertainment released a DVD of the first five episodes in May 2004, later reissued in 2007 and again in 2009 by Lace DVD.
