In Their Own Story

The mist clung to the rocks of Misty Island, muffling the crash of waves below. Jak and Daxter trudged along a narrow path, when a sudden squawk cut through the fog. 'Over here!' chirped a small green bird, bobbing on a mossy stone. Daxter rolled his eyes. 'Great, a feathered tour guide.' The bird squawked again, pointing its beak toward a hidden alcove. 'That way! That way!' Jak shrugged and followed the bird's direction, finding a cluster of Precursor orbs. 'Thanks, bird,' Jak muttered. The bird puffed its chest. 'Pecker! Name's Pecker!' And with that, it fell silent, watching them pass.
