MINIM is a Spanish industrial rock band that formed in Vigo, Galicia, in late 2006. That year, the group recorded its first EP, which contained four tracks titled "22:22" and two remixes. After touring Spain throughout 2007, the band took a short break. When it returned in mid-2008, the lineup had changed: Continue handled lead vocals, Fran Pajares and Tino Álvarez played synths, vocals, and guitars, Aitor Míguez joined on guitar, Robert Escrich on bass, and Nacho González on drums. The band continued performing, staging shows with elaborate light and image displays that became a signature. They began winning recognition, including awards at competitions such as the XII Concurso de Pop Rock de Rivas Vaciamadrid. Press coverage followed, along with radio airtime. In March 2010, MINIM released its first album, *9567: Here Even It's Yesterday*, on Mutant-e Records under a Creative Commons license. The album was made available for free download from the band’s website, and within three months it had been downloaded 1,350 times. This marked a turning point, as the name MINIM began to circulate across Europe, Russia, Japan, and the United States.
