Gameplay
Deca Sports 2 includes ten new sports: darts, dodgeball, ice hockey, kendo, mogul skiing, motorcycle racing, pétanque, speed skating, synchronized swimming and tennis. These are controlled with the Wii Remote's motion controls, with some sports requiring the Nunchuk. The game returns with four modes from the first game: Open Match, League, Tournament and Challenge. Eight preset teams are available, each with varying athlete sizes that affect strengths and weaknesses. A fatigue system in League mode discourages overusing athletes. New features include custom team creation, use of the Nunchuk's motion sensor for two-handed sports in two of the four sports that require it, a skill point system that awards points for wins and deducts for losses to unlock new AI difficulty levels, and online multiplayer via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for select sports through real-time competition or online leaderboards.
