Gameplay

The single-player campaign is split into ten levels, each containing ten stages. After the fifth stage, a bonus stage appears, and the tenth stage is a boss fight. A fresh addition is the item screen, which stores all collected items in a stockpile. Players can use the touch screen to apply these items and boost Bomberman’s abilities. If Bomberman is defeated, any items held in reserve can be used to restart the current stage with partial or full power. In multiplayer, the touch screen expands the play area, with tunnels linking the two screens. Some arenas require the microphone for actions like detonating remote bombs or activating a shield. The revenge bomb mechanic lets eliminated players throw bombs by flicking them off the touch screen with the stylus. With Super Revenge mode enabled, if a player’s flicked revenge bomb destroys another player, the eliminated player respawns at the spot where their opponent fell. Bomberman also supports download play, allowing someone without a game card to join multiplayer by temporarily downloading the full multiplayer mode from a player who owns the game.
