Rob Zombie Myers Origin Story
Rob Zombie's version of Michael Myers' childhood, from his first murders to Smith's Grove.
Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) is both a remake of the 1978 film and an origin story for Michael Myers. Zombie took John Carpenter's advice to make the film his own and added material on Michael's childhood rather than simply re-filming the original scenes.

Reader's Guide
On Halloween 1990 in Haddonfield, ten-year-old Michael, who has already shown psychopathic tendencies, murders a school bully, his abusive stepfather Ronnie, his older sister Judith and her boyfriend, sparing only his baby sister, whom he calls "Boo". He is sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium under child psychologist Dr. Samuel Loomis.
Michael fixates on his papier-mâché masks and withdraws even from his mother Deborah, who takes her own life after he kills a nurse. For the next fifteen years he makes masks and speaks to no one, until he escapes and returns to Haddonfield to stalk Laurie Strode on Halloween night.
