Story
The game follows the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE anime, set during the One Hundred Year War between the Earth Sphere and the Martian nation of Vagan, which began in A.G. 101. The story is divided into three arcs, each with a different protagonist. The first arc centers on Flit Asuno, who builds the Gundam AGE-1 using the AGE Device from his mother; the AGE System uses combat data to create new weapons and eventually new Gundams. The second arc features Flit's son Asemu Asuno piloting the Gundam AGE-2, and the third arc follows Asemu's son Kio Asuno, who pilots the Gundam AGE-3 and its successor, the Gundam AGE-FX.
Version differences
The core game is identical in both Universe Accel and Cosmic Drive, but each version locks certain guest mobile suits behind its own release. Universe Accel offers machines from the Universal Century timeline, drawing from Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Cosmic Drive instead provides guest units from the Cosmic Era and Anno Domini timelines, specifically those from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, and Mobile Suit Gundam 00.
