Gameplay
The gameplay is divided into four parts: discussion, mission choice, getting ready for battle, and the mission itself. Players begin with optional dialogue to gather plot information, then select a mission. They choose a Gundam Meister and a gundam suited to the task. The goal is to deplete the military strength of three nations—the Union, the Advanced European Union, and the Human Reform League—each represented by a health bar. Each pilot has an advantage against their home nation, except Tieria, who has a small advantage against all three blocs. Missions are either scenario missions, which follow the anime plot, or normal missions, which are interventions not shown in the anime. Normal missions unlock by completing certain scenario missions. There are 23 scenario missions and 30 normal missions. Scenario missions include bosses that may require completion and defeat. Seven endings exist: one good, one normal, and five bad. The good ending occurs when all three nations lose almost all their army, allowing the player to face the three Trinity Gundam meisters. After beating the game twice, three battle simulations become available. Completing Battle Simulation 2 unlocks Gundam Exia Roll Out Colour Ver. and Gundam Nadleeh. Holding down and select while selecting Setsuna F Seiei lets the player use Exia Roll Out Colour Ver.; holding the same while selecting Tieria Erde lets the player use Nadleeh instead of Virtue.
Mobile suits and characters
The four main mobile suits are GN-001 Gundam Exia piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei, GN-002 Gundam Dynames piloted by Lockon Stratos, GN-003 Gundam Kyrios piloted by Allelujah Haptism (which can transform into a mobile armour), and GN-005 Gundam Virtue piloted by Tieria Erde. Unlockable suits include GN-001 Gundam Exia (Rollout Colour Ver.) and GN-004 Gundam Nadleeh, both unlocked after Battle Simulation 2. Other mobile suits and pilots include AEU-09 AEU Enact piloted by Patrick Colasour, SVMS-01 Union Flag and SVMS-01E Graham's Union Flag Custom piloted by Graham Aker, MSJ-06 II-C Tieren High Mobility Type and MSJ-06 II-E Tieren Space Type piloted by Sergei Smirnov, AEU-09 AEU Enact and AEU Enact (Ali Al-Saachez custom) piloted by Ali Al-Saachez, MSJ-06 II-SP Tieren Taozi piloted by Soma Peries, and the three Gundam Throne units piloted by the Trinity siblings. Twelve supporting characters assist during missions and can be reused after a few days.
