Mavuika (pronounced mow-WEE-kə; Chinese: 玛薇卡; pinyin: Mǎwēikǎ) is a character in the 2020 action role-playing gacha game Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo. She debuted in the game's Version 5.0 update and became a playable character in January 2025.
In the game's narrative, Mavuika started as an ordinary citizen of the fictional region of Natlan. Five hundred years before the main story, she claimed the title of Pyro Archon—Natlan's ruler—by winning a tournament. She then guided Natlan's tribes through an invasion that devastated the continent of Teyvat. To halt the conflict, she used the power of the Ruler of Death to seal the Abyss, entering a suspended animation for 500 years until she was revived in the present day. With assistance from the protagonist Traveler and other allies, she ultimately led Natlan to triumph over the Abyss.
Mavuika's skin tone drew criticism, and her in-game depiction as a motorcycle rider received mixed reactions.
